In January 2021, SHaME postdoc Dr Stephanie Wright caught up with Sarah Lasoye, black feminist, poet, and former Women’s Officer for the National Union of Students (NUS). Sarah is now completing an MSc in Global Health and Development at UCL — where she is developing a particular interest in transformative justice — and recently joined the SHaME team as an Associate Fellow.
Watch the video here to hear more about Sarah’s experiences of organising around sexual violence within the context of Further and Higher Education, as well as her thoughts on preventative and transformative justice approaches to tackling sexual harms.
