On May 2nd, SHaME (Birkbeck) will be hosting a one-day virtual workshop examining the multiple intersections between humour and sexual violence and how they have changed over time.

On April 25th, SHaME (Birkbeck) and the Institute for the Public Understanding of the Past (University of York) will be co-hosting a one-day collaborative workshop in York with survivors, practitioners and academics called ‘Remembering Together – Histories of Child Sexual Abuse’, carrying on from the December workshop in London.

SHaME is collaborating with the V&A and Photoworks to create a programme of events in response to artist Laia Abril’s new exhibition at the Copeland Gallery, A History of Misogyny, Chapter Two: On Rape and Institutional Failure.

Zines have a long history in anti-rape activism. Join us to learn about that history and create our own at our DIY zine-making workshop!
